Mary Banford had a very good reason for needing a new vehicle – to visit her husband in the Army National Guard! The mother of two from Oklahoma stays home watching her kids, one of which has special needs, while her husband Chris is in training for the next five months in Missouri. Spending time apart has been tough on the couple, but even more difficult considering Mary's vehicle isn't reliable enough to get her to the grocery store. Luckily, Ellen and Ford planned a big surprise on the show today, reuniting the couple around their brand new Ford Escape."I'm thrilled, and I'm excited, and I'm surprised, and I'm ecstatic," Mary told Ellen's Good News after the show. "[Ellen is] so great, oh my gosh she's so great… she says I give [the love] back to you, she really does – she gives it back to you!"It was perfect timing for Mary and Chris as they just celebrated their 10-year anniversary. Life is looking up!"It was the best anniversary ever," Chris said. "It's life-changing."Mary added, "Yeah, it means no more postcards counting down when I get to see you. It means me and the boys will get to see you on the weekends. It's going to be so great."See our full interview above!
